Cocoa Nibs

Cacao nibs: pieces of roasted and crushed cacao beans. An intense crunch with the taste of pure cacao, no added sugar.

• Part used: roasted and crushed cacao bean
• Appearance: brown pieces, crunchy texture
• Aromatic notes: intense cacao, bitter
• Origin: Peru
• Storage: away from light and moisture

Why Peru? Much of our selection comes from Madagascar, but we have not found cacao nibs there. We therefore chose nibs from Peru, and prefer to say so clearly rather than suggest a Malagasy origin.
